Powering Africa’s Next Chapter
Across the vast African continent, 600 million out of 1.2 billion people still face electricity shortages. In 2015, the Forum on China–Africa Cooperation introduced the “Ten Major Cooperation Plans,” placing energy infrastructure at the center.
The 2024 Summit further defined the “Agriculture & Livelihood Partnership Initiative,” emphasizing value-chain development to create millions of jobs. JuaPower was born from this historic opportunity. The name “Jua” comes from Swahili, meaning “sun,” symbolizing Africa’s abundant solar resources.
We focus on residential and commercial solar energy storage solutions, combining China’s advanced battery technology with localized operations to build smart microgrids in Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, DR Congo, Zambia, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Somalia, and more.
JuaPower’s off-grid storage systems replace diesel generators, reducing diesel generation costs by 70% and increasing value-added efficiency.

Africa Rising Through Energy
Starting from Tatu City in Kenya, JuaPower aims to expand integrated solar-and-storage solutions across the African continent. We believe that once every unit of clean energy becomes a driving force for development, “Africa Rising” will no longer be just a vision.
